I feel blessed to be able to pursue my creative passions… even though rejection is the name of the game for all of them. I am a hopeaholic, after all.
Since the age of six I have always wanted to be an actress. Growing up in South Africa made my dream of world domination (ahem, I mean fame) a challenging one, especially since I was English (not Afrikaans enough). But that didn’t stop me trying. I started writing plays to create work for myself and others, and that evolved into producing.
In the noughties I immigrated with my husband to the U.K. And subsequently discovered I wasn’t English enough, apparently. Go figure. Still I persevered. As a result I have had a varied and interesting career involving singing, writing, producing and acting on stage and screen.
